      • Treatment and prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STI) is essential for overall health and wellbeing. At Kirk’s Pharmacy, we want to be accessible to all patients in a safe and inclusive environment. Starting in June 2021, our clinical pharmacists will be available by appointment for STI testing, HIV prevention counseling, and PrEP therapy. (CDC)

  • Are you at risk?

    • EVERYONE should be tested for HIV at least once in their lifetime and other STIs at least every 3 months to year while sexually active, especially when any sexual partner is of unknown STI status

    • HIV is most commonly spread by having sex or sharing syringes and other injection equipment with someone who is infected with HIV. Certain sexual or behavioral practices can increase your risk of HIV.

    • Young people are the most likely to be unaware of their infection. According to a CDC analysis, in 2018, an estimated 44.9% of young people aged 13-24 who were living with HIV were unaware of their infection.
